two things in life

No matter how rich, or how talented, or how powerful you are, or how much you achieved, there will always be tall orders in your life, or there will always be some trivial/ non-trivial stuffs that keep preying on your mind. That’s what I’ve learnt from all walks of life I’ve encountered. Whether it is your family, or your career, or your competitors/ rivals or your neighbours, or your colleagues, there always be issues, and the issues never stop. Often the issues come thick and fast, sometime they subdue but it’s only tentative, and you’ll never know what issues does tomorrow bring! Doesn’t life just look too familiar from this angle?

The issues never stop, whoever you are. No matter who or how or where or when, deep inside each and every ones, there is always this little feeling that something is missing right here, right now. You don’t know exactly what it’s or why, but subconsiously there’s something missing. Always. That’s life. From that context, here I come up with 2 things which I think would help:
I. Someone there to listen to you, when you’re exhausted
People often think that it’s supposed to be the role of family or closed friends to listen to you when you are exhausted with your issues. Not exactly. Many of us already have issues with our own family, so sharing more issues with your family may be not the best idea sometime. And if you have close friends readily available to cheer you up every time, you’re just really lucky. But unfortunately, life is not that simple. Many things which drove us crazy during the day are trivial, fined detail tiny itsy-bitsy, very that-moment-only stuffs, which make them not easy to share to your already busy friends. That’s why many times you need some ones who is not very close to you, rather somehow distant, but reliable and trustable, and most important: they can listen without any judgement and without giving any lousy imposing solutions (that you don’t really in need at all). Make sure you have touches with those external helps time to time if you often feel exhausted. That can definitely bring you big reliefs, I believe.
II. An inspirations, when you’re bored and losing your daily life-motivation
When, this is not new but many people I know are not exhausted. They just slowly slip into some state of lacking motivation, that even though they’re very busy yet their work just become so sleepy routines or that their daily life seems a black-and-white monotonous picture: work-home-holiday-work-home again and again.  They’re not burned out but occasionally they feel like they need exactly the opposites of their current work/life situations: to be filled with fresh energy and to burn that energy excitedly. To be excited and be fresh-minded. Not just existing in life but to really live the life.
If that’s true to you, I would say you need to find your own an inspiration. Subconsciously you’re looking for it already may be. The choices (of inspiration) may broadly ranged:
– highly unconscious (and socially pervasive) time-passing activities such as: beer and alcohol, food and drink, karaoke, soccer-watching … ,
– self-centered consumerism ones: high-tech stuffs, facebooking, fashions, motorbiking, luxury watches,…
– more conscious and selective choices: sports, readings, wild-camping, parachute and gliding …
– more altruism oriented ones:  volunteer and charity, environment protection, poverty relief activities …
Just look out searching for one. Don’t be so random but also no need to be too serious. Find your inspiration for now. The inspiration itself may evolve with time. Your good inspirations are the ones that keep you moving forward without introducing too much more pressure or stresses to your life. It may take some time and effort trying several things out but once you find it, it will be very rewarding for sure. It will light up your life.
